Arbor Day 2019

Happy Arbor Day!

Arbor Day 2019 is approaching, and it’s the perfect time to reflect on the importance of trees in our everyday lives and promote the planting and care of trees nationwide. For over 19 years, Arborjet has focused on developing environmentally sound technology to protect our trees. We’ve helped save tens of millions of trees from pests and diseases and have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants and services to organizations dedicated to protecting urban trees.
This Arbor Day, we invite you to join us as we come together with arborists and enthusiasts across the country to protect our nation’s trees. See below for a list of events we’ll be taking part in near you.

Arbor Day Schedule of Events

April 2, 2019

Sycamore Elementary School – San Diego, CA

10:00 am – 3:00 pm 225 W 8th St.Claremont, CA

More than 20 Sycamore trees at Sycamore School in Claremont received environmentally sound, trunk injection treatments to protect against the Invasive Shot Hole Borer, which is currently threatening thousands of California’s trees. The Invasive Shot Hole Borer (ISHB) is an exotic and invasive ambrosia beetle, recently found attacking a large number of tree species in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Diego Counties, among others, across the state. Media, municipalities, government officials, residents and local arborists were invited to attend and watch a demonstration of the treatment process, learn more about the pest, and the options available to both homeowners and municipalities to protect and save their trees.
